The goal of the survey was to gain an in-depth understanding of stakeholder and customer satisfaction in relation to CRAN’s fairness, transparency, effectiveness in implementing mandates, certainty, good governance, effective resource utilisation and professional support, and to use such an enhanced understanding to recommend remedial action for an improved stakeholder and customer satisfaction. In order to achieve the survey goal, the objectives of the survey are to:

HIV Oral Pre-Exposure Prophylaxis (prep) Research Activity

Main project features:
Jhpiego, in collaboration with the Namibia Ministry of Health and Social Services (MoHSS), with funding from United States Agency for International Development (USAID)/ Presidents Emergency Plan for AIDS Relief (PEPFAR) was tasked with conducting a research activity focusing on PrEP continuation in Namibia. This research activity was conducted as part of the Reaching Impact, Saturation, and Epidemic Control (RISE) project. RISE is a five-year global project that works with countries to achieve a shared vision of attaining and maintaining epidemic control, with stronger local partners capable of managing and achieving results through sustainable, self-reliant, and resilient health systems by 2024. RISE’s contributions to this work will lead to fewer new HIV infections, decreased HIV-related morbidity and mortality, and increased quality of life for people living with HIV.

The overall aim of the research activity was to provide MoHSS with insights into the motivating factors that contribute to the decision of a person to initiate and/or remain on PrEP among the early adopters. The research primarily focused on PrEP uptake and continuation among key populations, such as adolescent girls and young women (AGYW), female sex workers (FSWs) and men having sex with men (MSM). SusDAf role was to manage and ensure quality control over the data collection process.

The goal of the MHHM Assessment was to assess the prevalence of MHHM knowledge, attitudes and practices among adolescent schoolgirls in Namibia, and identify factors associated with poor MHM and school absenteeism due to menstruation. The objectives of the MHHM Assessment were:

The objectives of the evaluation were to:

Namibia Regional Study and Resource Centre Activity Evaluation – Data Collection

MCC has contracted the Technology & Social Change group (TASCHA) at the University of Washington to design and implement a performance evaluation of the Namibia RSRC activity. This evaluation has been designed to serve the needs of two major stakeholders, MCC and the Namibia Library and Archives Service (NLAS). For MCC, the evaluation provides a summative assessment of the effectiveness, efficiency, and sustainability of its investment in the RSRCs from the planning phase through the first two years of their operation. The findings of the evaluation were to inform MCC’s ongoing strategies for education-sector investments. For NLAS, which is a directorate within the Ministry of Education, this evaluation provided a formative assessment to help guide program improvements within the three RSRCs studied, as well as other RSRCs and libraries across Namibia, a summative assessment of the achievements of the first years of the RSRCs, and a foundation for ongoing assessments of the initial and future RSRCs. Overall, the evaluation assessed the effectiveness of the RSRC Activity in achieving outputs and outcomes related to education, economic development and community development.
